| dc.description.abstract | Side Scan Sonar digunakan untuk pencitraan dasar laut dan identifikasi jenis substrat. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis nilai hambur balik (dB) dan karakter permukaan dasar laut di perairan Pulau Senayang menggunakan metode Continuous Wavelet Transform (CWT). Data diperoleh dari lima lintasan survei SSS C-MAX CM2 berfrekuensi 325 kHz dan diproses melalui koreksi geometrik dan radiometrik di SonarWiz 7. Nilai amplitudo diekstraksi dengan Seisee dan dianalisis menggunakan MATLAB. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa substrat didominasi pasir kasar, dengan variasi pasir sedang, pasir halus, dan fragmen karang. Nilai hambur balik pasir berada pada –12 hingga –20 dB, sedangkan substrat keras menunjukkan nilai lebih tinggi. Analisis CWT mengindikasikan tekstur kasar dengan intensitas kuning pada scalogram, dan tekstur halus dengan intensitas biru.

| dc.description.abstract | Side Scan Sonar is used for seabed imaging and substrate identification. This study aims to analyze backscatter values (dB) and seafloor characteristics in the waters of Senayang Island using the Continuous Wavelet Transform (CWT) method. Data were collected from five survey lines using the C-MAX CM2 frequency 325 kHz SSS and processed through geometric and radiometric corrections in SonarWiz 7. Amplitude values were extracted using Seisee and analyzed in MATLAB. The results indicate that the seafloor is dominated by coarse sand, with variations of medium sand, fine sand, and coral fragments. Backscatter values for sand range from –12 to –20 dB, while harder substrates show higher values. CWT analysis shows coarse textures represented by yellow intensity on the scalogram, while finer textures appear in blue.
