kelayakan ekonomi unit penangkapan cast net berdasarkan kategori ukuran kapal
51–100 GT. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The Indonesian Fisheries Port (PPN) Muara Angke is one of the major
fishing ports in Indonesia, known for landing the highest volume of squid catch.
Squid (Loligo sp.) is a strategic commodity with rising economic and export
values. Moreover, limited information is available on the productivity and
economic feasibility of squid fishing using cast net gear on vessels sized 20–30,
31–50 and 51–100 GT. This study aimed to analyze the catch composition,
calculate productivity, and assess the economic feasibility of cast net fishing units
based on vessel size. The methods applied include descriptive analysis,
productivity calculation, and financial feasibility, with data collected through
accidental sampling. Results show that squid is the main catch, although its
proportion declines on larger vessels due to the increased diversity of bycatch.
Vessels sized 20–30 GT recorded the highest catch productivity per vessel,
whereas productivity per fisherman and per fishing trip was highest on vessels
sized 51–100 GT. All vessel categories were economically feasible, with the
highest feasibility level observed in the 51–100 GT vessel group. | |
