      Abstract

Post-mining land has low fertility, acidic pH, and low organic matter content, which is not conducive to the growth of reclamation vegetation. Improvement efforts are carried out by adding ameliorants such as fly ash and bottom ash (FABA) from steam power plants (PLTU), which can neutralize acidity and increase nutrient availability for plants. This study aims to determine the effect of FABA on the growth of Kemiri Sunan (Reutealis trisperma) and changes in the pH of reclamation soil. The study used a completely randomized design with six levels of FABA dosage (0, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30%) and three replicates. The parameters observed included plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, and soil pH during the seven weeks after planting (MST). The results showed that FABA application significantly increased soil pH from the second week onwards, but had no significant effect on plant height and number of leaves. Stem diameter growth showed significant differences in the fourth to sixth weeks. The CaO, Al2O3, and Fe2O3 content in FABA played a role in reducing soil acidity and improving nutrient availability.
