      Abstract

One of the most abundant types of waste produced in agriculture is corn cob waste. The amount of corn cob waste generated indicates an urgent need for further processing. The objective of this study was to process corn cob waste into biochar using pyrolysis technology with varying temperatures. The research method was conducted experimentally by producing biochar from corn cob waste and analyzing the proximate test parameters of the resulting biochar. In this study, the temperature variations used were 300°C, 400°C, and 500°C. The results showed that the biochar produced at 400°C met the quality standards based on SNI 1683:2021 and International Biochar Initiative (IBI).
