      Abstract

This study analyzes the socio-ecological relationship patterns, livelihood strategies, and social organization of the community in Desa Rantau Jaya Udik II, located adjacent to Way Kambas National Park (TNWK). A mixed-method approach was used, with quantitative data collected through questionnaires and qualitative data through interviews and participatory observation. The findings show a shift in socio-ecological relationships from exploitative to more conservative and sustainable. The community has adopted adaptive livelihood strategies, relying on sustainable agriculture and conservation programs such as the Forest Farmers Group (KTH) and ecosystem restoration. Social organization through KTH, MMP, and KWT strengthens the relationship between the community and TNWK management. This study offers recommendations for more inclusive conservation management, considering local community welfare and ecosystem sustainability.
