      Sebaran dan Karakter Morfometrik Mangrove pada Kondisi Lingkungan yang Berbeda di Teluk Benoa dan Nusa Lembongan

      Abstract
      Distribusi dan karakter morfometrik mangrove dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor seperti salinitas, kandungan nutrien, dan tipe geomorfologi pulau. Teluk Benoa merupakan salah satu kawasan mangrove yang berada di Bali dan sangat terpengaruh oleh aktivitas antropogenik. Sedangkan Nusa Lembongan merupakan pulau kecil yang terletak di sebelah tenggara Pulau Bali. Morfometrik mangrove memberikan respon adaptasi terhadap kondisi lingkungan melalui kemampuannya dalam membentuk plastisitas morfologi yang terbentuk melalui interaksi lingkungan. Penelitian ini menganalisis keterkaitan variabel lingkungan dengan karakter morfometrik mangrove pada dua lokasi yang kontras yaitu Teluk Benoa (TB) dan Nusa Lembongan (NL). Pengambilan data dilakukan pada Agustus Oktober 2024 menggunakan 27 plot (TB=18; NL=9) dengan transek 10 m×10 m, meliputi identifikasi jenis, tinggi tegakan, diameter batang, serta morfometrik daun (panjang total, panjang daun, panjang tangkai, lebar daun) pada tiga spesies yang ditemukan di kedua lokasi penelitian (Sonneratia alba, Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, Xylocarpus granatum). Analisis menggunakan PCA (lingkungan) dan analisis diskriminan (morfometrik). Hasil menunjukkan TB dicirikan nutrien (nitrat, fosfat) lebih tinggi dan sedimen lebih halus, sedangkan NL memiliki salinitas, ORP, dan suhu lebih tinggi dengan substrat berpasir. Rata-rata ukuran morfometrik di TB umumnya lebih besar dibanding NL, mengindikasikan pengaruh kondisi lingkungan terhadap plastisitas morfologi mangrove. Temuan ini relevan untuk penentuan zona prioritas konservasi/rehabilitasi dan perancangan skema monitoring variabel lingkungan yang berdampak pada pertumbuhan mangrove.
       
      The distribution and morphometric characteristics of mangroves are influenced by various environmental factors, including salinity, nutrient content, and island geomorphology. Teluk Benoa, located in Bali, is one of the mangrove areas significantly affected by anthropogenic activities. In contrast, Nusa Lembongan is a small island situated to the southeast of Bali Island. Mangrove morphometrics reflect adaptive responses to environmental conditions through their capacity for morphological plasticity, shaped by environmental interactions. This study analyzes the relationship between environmental variables and the morphometric characteristics of mangroves at two contrasting locations, namely Benoa Bay (TB) and Nusa Lembongan (NL). Data collection was conducted from August to October 2024 using 27 plots (TB=18; NL=9) with 10 m×10 m transects, including species identification, stand height, stem diameter, and leaf morphometrics (total length, leaf length, petiole length, leaf width) of three species found at both research sites (Sonneratia alba, Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, Xylocarpus granatum). Analysis using PCA (environment) and discriminant analysis (morphometric). The results show that TB is characterized by higher nutrients (nitrate, phosphate) and finer sediments, while NL has higher salinity, (oxidation reduction potential) ORP, and temperature with sandy substrates. The average morphometric size in TB is generally larger than in NL, indicating the influence of environmental conditions on mangrove morphological plasticity. These findings are relevant for determining priority zones for conservation/rehabilitation and designing monitoring schemes for environmental variables that impact mangrove growth.
