| dc.description.abstract | Tanjung Dalam Village Forest (VF) in Tanjung Dalam Village, Lembah Masurai District, Merangin Regency. The certainty of
the existence of plant biodiversity in the Tanjung Dalam VF area, especially protected and rare ones, is unknown. Therefore, research
on plant biodiversity in the area is necessary. This study aims to identify habitat conditions and plant biodiversity in the Tanjung Dalam
VF area. The richness of plant species found in the Tanjung Dalam VF area is 155 species that can be grouped into 63 families. Based
on its location, the highest plant species richness is found in transect 1 (62 species and 40 families) and the least is found in transect
5 (39 species and 24 families). The Shanon diversity index for seedling and undergrowth growth levels was 2.054 - 2.388, saplings
were 2.113 - 2.731, poles were 1.668 - 2.346, and trees were 1.531 - 2.707, and epiphytes and others were 0.570 - 2.670. The ecosystem
type that had the lowest species diversity index at all growth levels was transect 5. The dominant plant species in the shrub land cover
were Durio zibethinus, Vatica maingayi, Piper aduncum, Clidemia hirta, and Smilax zeylanica; the mixed garden land cover was
Anthocephalus chinensis, Macaranga conifera, Piper aduncum, Clidemia hirta, and Dissochaeta gracilis; and secondary dryland
forest cover is Brackenridgea palustris, Shorea javanica, Caryota mitis, Amomum coccineum, Stenochlaena palustris, Scorodocarpus
borneensis, Pandanus sp., Syzygium napiforme, Nephrolepis exaltata, and Calamus ciliarise. The plant species with the highest density
in shrub land cover are Durio zibethinus, Vatica maingayi, Piper aduncum, Clidemia hirta, and Smilax zeylanica; mixed garden land
cover is Anthocephalus chinensis, Macaranga conifera, Piper aduncum, Clidemia hirta, and Dissochaeta gracilis; and secondary
dryland forest cover are Brackenridgea palustris, Shorea javanica, Caryota mitis, Amomum coccineum, Stenochlaena palustris,
Scorodocarpus borneensis, Pandanus sp., Syzygium napiforme, Nephrolepis exaltata, and Calamus ciliaris Blume. Based on its
protection status, in the Tanjung Dalam VF area there are no protected plant species according to the Regulation of the Minister of
Environment and Forestry No. P.106 of 2018 and/or endemic; however, 2 plant species are found that are included in the CITES
Appendix II List, 45 species are included in the LC/Least Concern category, 3 species are included in the NT/Near Threarened
category, 4 plant species are included in the VU/Vulnerable category, and 1 plant species is included in the EN/Endangered category. | id |
