      Abstract

Three different treatments were studied: one worker handling 1, 2, or 3 terraces, with each treatment replicated 20 times. Data analysis was performed using a one-sample t-test, comparing the results to the company's established standard of 180 trees pruned per day. The findings revealed that Treatment 1 (179.8 trees pruned; 99.89% efficiency) showed no significant difference from the standard. In contrast, Treatment 2 (190.3 trees pruned; 105.72% efficiency) showed significantly higher performance. Conversely, Treatment 3 (170.6 trees pruned; 94.78% efficiency) resulted in significantly lower efficiency compared to the standard. Based on these results, the study concluded that a pruning pattern where one worker manages two terraces is the most effective and efficient option. Its implementation is recommended to optimize labor productivity in Arabica coffee pruning operations.
