| dc.description.abstract | Serangan hama pada daun tanaman berdampak signifikan terhadap penurunan
produktivitas tanaman, karena daun merupakan organ vital dalam proses
fotosintesis dan menjadi indikator awal kerusakan fisiologis tanaman. Oleh karena
itu, pengukuran luas kerusakan daun penting dalam menilai kesehatan tanaman dan
keefektifan pengendalian hama. Metode konvensional seperti kertas milimeter,
gravimetri, dan planimeter dinilai kurang praktis dan rawan kesalahan, terutama
jika jumlah sampel banyak. leaf area meter (LAM) memiliki keterbatasan yaitu
memerlukan biaya tinggi. Aplikasi BioLeaf hadir sebagai solusi berbasis
smartphone yang menawarkan kemudahan, efisiensi, dan kepraktisan dalam
pengukuran luas kerusakan daun secara digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji
akurasi aplikasi BioLeaf dalam menentukan luas serangan serangga pada daun
tanaman. Penelitian dilakukan di Kampung Carang Pulang, Desa Cikarawang,
Kecamatan Dramaga, Kabupaten Bogor, serta di Laboratorium Klinik Tanaman,
Departemen Proteksi Tanaman, Fakultas Pertanian, Institut Pertanian Bogor,
dengan menggunakan 14 sampel daun dari berbagai jenis dan tingkat kerusakan dan
dilakukan 5 perlakuan serta menggunakan 3 Perangkat (kamera, smartphone 1 dan
smarphone 2). Hasil pengukuran menggunakan BioLeaf dibandingkan dengan
metode manual dan ImageJ untuk menilai tingkat akurasinya. Hasil penelitian
menunjukkan bahwa BioLeaf memiliki akurasi tinggi dan dapat menjadi alternatif
praktis serta efisien dalam pemantauan kerusakan daun di lapangan bagi petani dan
peneliti. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Pest attacks on plant leaves have a significant impact on the reduction of crop
productivity, as leaves are vital for photosynthesis and serve as early indicators of
physiological damage. Therefore, measuring leaf damage is essential for assessing
plant health and the effectiveness of pest control. Conventional methods such as
millimeter paper, gravimetry, and planimetry are often impractical and prone to
error, especially with large sample sizes, while Leaf Area Meter (LAM) are limited
by high costs. BioLeaf, a smartphone-based application, offers a practical, efficient,
and user-friendly digital solution for measuring leaf damage. This study aimed to
evaluate the accuracy of BioLeaf in determining pest damage on leaves, conducted
in Kampung Carang Pulang, Cikarawang Village, Dramaga District, Bogor
Regency, and at the Plant Clinic Laboratory, Department of Plant Protection,
Faculty of Agriculture, IPB University. Fourteen leaf samples with varying types
and levels of damage were analyzed using five treatments and three devices (a
camera, smartphone 1, and smartphone 2). Measurements from BioLeaf were
compared to manual methods and ImageJ software to assess accuracy. The results
showed that BioLeaf has high accuracy and can serve as a practical and efficient
alternative for monitoring leaf damage in the field, providing benefits for both
farmers and researchers | |
