      Abstract

The application of maggot (Black Soldier Fly larvae/BSF) utilization within a circular economy framework is implemented for organic waste management. The waste processed consists of vegetable residues, fruit scraps, and kitchen waste, which are used as a medium for maggot cultivation. The resulting maggots are utilized as feed for fish and poultry, while the frass is applied as organic fertilizer for crops. This study uses a descriptive quantitative method with a case study approach and employs a paired t-test statistical analysis to compare conditions before and after system implementation. The results show a decrease in operational costs after the system was applied. The calculated t-value of 9.253 is greater than the t-table value of 2.776 at a 5% significance level, indicating a statistically significant difference. This proves that the utilization of maggots within a circular economy model is effective in reducing waste and improving cost efficiency. The system can serve as a model for efficient, sustainable, and economically valuable organic waste management, particularly in integrated farming and household-scale settings.
