Pacific whiteleg shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei is a high-value aquaculture commodity but is susceptible to White Feces Disease (WFD). This final project aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of Lactobacillus sp. probiotics in controlling WFD in a semi-intensive cultivation system at PT. Prima Bakti Sentosa, Padang. The treatment involved two application methods: water probiotic and feeder probiotic, both at a dose of 1,5 ppm per week. Results showed that the highest survival rate (77,33%) was obtained from the feeder probiotic treatment, while the highest average daily gain (ADG) of 0,19±0,02 g/day was achieved with the water probiotic. The Total Vibrio Count in all ponds remained below 10³ CFU/mL, indicating stable water quality. The highest average shrimp weight (32,56 g/shrimp) was also recorded in the water probiotic treatment. These findings suggest that Lactobacillus sp. probiotics are effective in reducing WFD incidence and improving the growth performance of vannamei shrimp.
