| dc.description.abstract | Pramuka Island is one of the coral reef areas that has the potential to be affected by waste pollution. Apart from being carried by the current, anthropogenic waste also appears because Pramuka Island is a residential and tourist area. Information related to waste pollution in the coral ecosystem on Pramuka Island is still limited and requires periodic and sustainable information. This study aims to identify the composition and distribution of domestic waste and its impact on the coral reef ecosystem. Data collection was carried out at a depth of 3-5 meters parallel to the coastline. The waste found will be weighed dry and compared with observations on reefs and coral fish to determine the condition of the fish habitat. The largest dominance of domestic waste comes from plastic packaging at 86.46% from the four sides of Pramuka Island based on the direction of the wind. The highest accumulation of waste is on the west side of the island at 64.13%. Information on waste pollution that occurs shows the potential for degradation of coral reefs and the disappearance of reef fish from the ecosystem. | |
