      Abstract
      Proyek akhir ini membahas proses kreatif seorang editor dalam tahap pascaproduksi, khususnya pada penyuntingan video Iklan Layanan Masyarakat (ILM) berjudul “Transparansi di Ujung Jari”. Fokus penelitian diarahkan pada tahapan offline editing, yang mencakup pengelolaan dan pemilahan footage, pemilihan shot yang sesuai dengan pesan, penyusunan alur visual melalui rough cut hingga fine cut, serta penambahan elemen pendukung berupa teks, grafis, dan musik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif berdasarkan praktik penyuntingan yang dilakukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan penyuntingan video ILM tidak hanya ditentukan oleh keterampilan teknis editor, tetapi juga pemahaman terhadap pesan yang ingin disampaikan. Dengan demikian, tahapan offline editing berperan penting dalam menciptakan struktur naratif yang efektif dan mampu meningkatkan daya serap pesan kepada audiens.
       
      This final project discusses the creative process of an editor in the post-production stage, specifically in editing a Public Service Announcement (PSA) video entitled “Transparency at Your Fingertips”. The research focuses on the offline editing stage, which includes organizing and sorting footage, selecting shots that effectively convey the message, structuring the visual flow from rough cut to fine cut, and adding supporting elements such as text, graphics, and music. The method applied in this study is a case study with a qualitative descriptive approach based on the actual editing practices carried out. The results indicate that the success of editing a PSA video is not only determined by the editor’s technical skills but also by their understanding of the intended message. Therefore, the offline editing stage plays a crucial role in shaping an effective narrative structure and enhancing message retention among the audience.
