      Desain Penanganan Air Tawar Tercemar Minyak Bumi Menggunakan Bio-OSD pada Iris pseudacorus dan Ipomoea aquatica

      Abstract
      Pencemaran air tawar akibat tumpahan minyak bumi menjadi permasalahan lingkungan yang serius dan memerlukan penanganan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang sistem fitoremediasi skala pilot dengan media lahan basah buatan menggunakan dua jenis tanaman air, Iris pseudacorus dan Ipomoea aquatica, serta penambahan Bio-OSD sebagai dispersan. Penelitian dilakukan dalam dua iterasi dengan variasi rasio Bio-OSD terhadap minyak (DOR 0:0, 0:1, dan 0,5:1). Iterasi pertama menggunakan I. pseudacorus untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas penurunan kualitas air berdasarkan parameter COD, BOD, TPH, DO, dan pH. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan DOR 0,5:1 menghasilkan penurunan COD di hari ke-8, namun I. pseudacorus menunjukkan gejala stres akibat toksisitas surfaktan. Iterasi kedua menggunakan I. aquatica dengan sistem aliran kontinu untuk mengamati respons tanaman, pertumbuhan biomassa, dan peran mikrob akar. Tanaman I. aquatica menunjukkan ketahanan lebih baik, peningkatan biomassa, serta jumlah koloni mikrob lebih tinggi pada kondisi dengan Bio-OSD.
       
      Freshwater pollution due to petroleum spills is a serious environmental problem and requires sustainable handling. This study aims to design a pilot-scale phytoremediation system with artificial wetland media using two types of aquatic plants, Iris pseudacorus and Ipomoea aquatica, and the addition of Bio-OSD as a dispersant. The study was conducted in two iterations with variations in the ratio of Bio-OSD to oil (DOR 0:0, 0:1, and 0,5:1). The first iteration used I. pseudacorus to evaluate the effectiveness of water quality reduction based on COD, BOD, TPH, DO, and pH parameters. The results showed that the DOR 0,5:1 treatment resulted in a decrease in COD on day 8, but I. pseudacorus showed symptoms of stress due to surfactant toxicity. The second iteration used I. aquatica with a continuous flow system to observe plant response, biomass growth, and the role of root microbes. I. aquatica showed better resilience, increased biomass, and higher microbial colony counts under conditions with Bio-OSD.
