      Abstract

Red-tailed catfish is one of the freshwater ornamental fish commodities with high prospects, but there are still obstacles in the form of suboptimal production, especially in the growth and survival of fish seeds. Based on this, the implementation of this applied research aims to test the provision of different types of feed. The provision of different types of feed starting from 2.5 cm fish seeds that are maintained until the size of 5 cm. There are 4 types of feed given, namely silkworms (control), cere fish (P1), bloodworms (P2) and PF-500 pellets (P3). The results showed that feeding cere fish can produce a weight gain of 3.67±0.66, a specific growth rate of 5,58±0,71 and a survival rate with results of 92.00±2.00. Providing this type of feed using cere fish produces significantly different growth performance compared to other types of feed. Providing different types of feed starting from 2.5–5 cm red-tailed catfish seeds fed cere fish showed more optimal performance results.
