      Abstract

This study analyzes an eco-epidemiological predator-prey model with disease spread in the prey population. The model involves two prey populations, namely susceptible and infected prey, and one predator population. The objective of this study is to analyze the stability of the equilibrium points obtained and the population dynamics resulting from parameter variations. The analysis combines an analytical approach using the Jacobian matrix and eigenvalues with numerical simulations. Four equilibrium points are obtained, with their stability influenced by the parameter values. Simulations are conducted on the death rate of infected prey, the predator's response rate towards susceptible prey, and the disease transmission rate. Results show that both initial population conditions and selected parameters significantly affect system dynamics. An increase in the death rate of infected prey and a decrease in the disease transmission rate lead to an increase in the predator population. Conversely, an increase in the predator's response rate towards susceptible prey results in a decline in the predator population. Meanwhile, the susceptible and infected prey populations tend to decrease under all tested parameter variations.
