dc.description.abstractPencemaran logam berat timbal (Pb) merupakan masalah lingkungan serius yang menurunkan kesuburan tanah. Pemanfaatan rumput bede (Brachiaria decumbens Stapf.) dan Fungi Mikoriza Arbuskula (FMA) dalam remediasi lahan tercemar adalah salah satu solusi. Penelitian bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi FMA terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman sorgum; (2) membandingkan hasil pertumbuhan tanaman dengan aplikasi FMA secara tunggal maupun kombinasi; (3) mengamati pengaruh pengayaan rumput bede dengan FMA dalam meremediasi tanah tercemar timbal (Pb) pada berbagai konsentrasi. Propagasi FMA dilakukan pada tanaman inang sorgum dengan media zeolit. Metode fitoremediasi oleh rumput bede menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) faktorial dengan tiga faktor, yaitu (1) konsentrasi Pb (0, 50, dan 100 ppm); (2) aplikasi FMA (tanpa FMA, Glomus fasciculatum (GF), kombinasi GF + Gigaspora margarita (GM), serta kondisi tanah (steril dan non-steril). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan propagasi FMA berhasil meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman inang sorgum, di mana kombinasi GF+GM memberikan hasil pertumbuhan terbaik. Namun, kepadatan spora tertinggi dihasilkan oleh perlakuan tunggal kode GF5 dengan hasil yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan perlakuan kombinasi (GF+GM4). Kemampuan rumput bede terbukti dapat tumbuh pada media tanah tercemar. FMA dengan perlakuan tunggal maupun kombinasi berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun yang ditanami pada tanah tercemar Pb. Pada pengamatan akar mengindikasikan adanya pengaruh nyata pada sistem perakaran tanaman yang diinokulasi FMA. FMA meningkatkan perkembangan akar dalam kondisi stres logam berat.
dc.description.abstractHeavy metal pollution from lead (Pb) is a serious environmental problem that reduces soil fertility. The use of Bede grass (Brachiaria decumbens Stapf.) and Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF) in the remediation of contaminated land is one solution. This study aims to (1) determine the effect of AMF application on sorghum growth; (2) compare plant growth results with AMF application in single and combination; (3) observe the effect of enriching Bede grass with AMF in remediating lead (Pb)-contaminated soil at various concentrations. AMF propagation was conducted on sorghum host plants using zeolite medium. The phytoremediation method using Bede grass employed a Complete Randomized Design (CRD) factorial with three factors: (1) Pb concentration (0, 50, and 100 ppm); (2) AMF application (without AMF, Glomus fasciculatum (GF), combination of GF + Gigaspora margarita (GM)), and soil conditions (sterile and non-sterile). The results showed that AMF propagation successfully increased the growth of sorghum host plants, with the GF+GM combination producing the best growth results. However, the highest spore density was produced by the single treatment code GF5, with higher results than the combination treatment (GF+GM4). Bede grass was proven to be able to grow in contaminated soil media. AMF, both in single and combination treatments, had a significant effect on plant height and the number of leaves planted in Pb-contaminated soil. Root observations indicated a significant effect on the root system of plants inoculated with AMF. AMF enhanced root development under heavy metal stress conditions.
