      Abstract

Botia fish Chromobotia macracanthus is an ornamental fish endemic to the waters of Sumatra and Kalimantan with a production volume that has decreased from 19.2 million to 16.3 million or 15.2% in 2024. This final project activity aims to increase production volume by maturing the gonads of broodstock fish Chromobotia macracanthus from Sumatra and Kalimantan uses the hormone pregnant mare serum gonadotropin (PMSG) and antidopamine. The method used is a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with broodstock from both regions given six treatments and three replications. The treatments carried out were without hormone administration, hormones PMSG dan antidopamine 0.75 ml/kg and 1 ml/kg. The results of the activity showed that the best treatment was obtained from the treatment of broodstock from Kalimantan with a dose of 0.75 ml/kg, which resulted in a specific growth rate (SGR) of 0.30%/day, a pregnancy rate of 100%, a gonad maturity index (IKG) of 12%, a fecundity of 13,300 eggs, an egg diameter of 1.18 mm, a fertilization rate (FR) of 92%, a hatching rate (HR) of 91%, and a larval survival rate (SR) of 65%.
