      Abstract

Mackerel tuna (Euthynnus affinis) in Fisheries Management Area (FMA) 713 is fully exploited, raising concerns about stock sustainability and requiring accurate spatial management to identify potential fishing areas. This study aimed to estimate catch productivity, map oceanographic parameters, and model the distribution of mackerel tuna using the Maximum Entropy model (MaxEnt). The research methods included analysis of CPUE, spatial analysis, and modeling using the MaxEnt model. The results show that the highest CPUE was recorded in September at 1,200 kg/trip. In addition, sea surface temperature range from 27 to 30 °C, chlorophyll-a from 0.2 to 1 mg/m³, salinity from 32 to34 PSU, sea level height from 0.5 to 0.83 m, mixed layer depth from 5 to 35 m, and bathymetry reached 5,204 m. The MaxEnt model demonstrated high accuracy (AUC 0.86 0.91), with CHL and SST as the most influential parameters. The highest suitability areas were identified during the west monsoon and the second transitional season. This information supports the development of seasonal fishing strategies and sustainable management of little tuna in FMA 713.
