      Abstract

Parental divorce presents a major challenge that can have psychological impacts on adolescents. This study aims to examine the influence of co-parenting and optimism on adolescent resilience in divorced families. A quantitative approach with an explanatory design was employed, involving 60 adolescents aged 12–21 in East Bogor District. Data were collected through face-to-face questionnaires using purposive sampling techniques and analyzed using SPSS version 25. The results show that adolescents’ perceptions of co-parenting tend to be low, while levels of optimism and resilience range from moderate to high. Co-parenting is significantly and positively correlated with both optimism and resilience, while optimism shows a strong correlation with resilience. Regression analysis confirms that both co-parenting and optimism have a significant positive influence on resilience, with father’s age, mother’s age, and father’s education being the only demographic factors that show a significant effect. These findings highlight the importance of parental involvement and family-based interventions in strengthening adolescent resilience in the context of parental divorce.
