      Abstract
      ABSTRAK MUTTIE TAQIYYAH FIRMANSYAH. Perbandingan Metode Spektrofotometri dan Elektrode Selektif Ion pada Pengukuran Nitrat (NO3?) dalam Sampel Air Limbah. Dibimbing oleh DEDEN SAPRUDIN dan BUDI RIZA PUTRA. Nitrat merupakan salah satu kontaminan dalam air limbah yang perlu dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode yang sesuai, terutama pada sampel berwarna pekat seperti air limbah hasil sintesis nanomagnetit. Penelitian ini bertujuan membandingkan metode spektrofotometri UV-Vis dan elektrode selektif ion (ESI) dalam mengukur kadar nitrat pada sampel tersebut. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui validasi metode serta uji statistik paired t-test dan Bland Altman-plot. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun kedua metode valid secara analitis, terdapat perbedaan kinerja yang signifikan antara kedua metode. Metode spektrofotometri UV-Vis mengalami gangguan akibat interferensi warna sehingga menghasilkan pembacaan sinyal yang berlebih. Sementara itu, metode ESI menunjukkan hasil yang lebih stabil dan tidak terpengaruh oleh interferensi warna. Berdasarkan analisis statistik, metode ESI menunjukkan tingkat kesesuaian yang lebih tinggi dalam pengukuran nitrat pada sampel air limbah hasil sintesis nanomagnetit yang berwarna gelap dan kompleks.       ABSTRACT MUTTIE TAQIYYAH FIRMANSYAH. Comparison of Spectrophotometric and Ion Selective Electrode Methods for Measurement of Nitrate (NO3?) in Wastewater Samples. Supervised by DEDEN SAPRUDIN and BUDI RIZA PUTRA. Nitrate is one of the contaminants in wastewater that needs to be analyzed using appropriate methods, especially in dark-colored samples such as wastewater from nanomagnetite synthesis. This study aims to compare UV-Vis spectrophotometry and ion-selective electrode (ISE) methods in measuring nitrate levels in such samples. The evaluation was conducted throught method validation and statistical test, including paired t-test and Bland Altman Plot. The results of the study indicate that while both methods are analiticaly valid, there are significant performance dfferences between the two methods. The UV-Vis spectrophotometry method is affected by color interference, resulting in excessive signal readings. Meanwhile, the ESI method produces more stable results and is not influenced by color interference. Based on statistical analysis, the ESI method demonstrated a higher level of agreement in measuring nitrate level in dark-colored and complex wastewater samples resulting from nanomagnetite synthesized.
