      Profil Metabolomik Umbi Xanthosoma sagittifolium sebagai kandidat Pangan Antidiabetes dari Kabupaten Belitung

      Abstract
      Tumbuhan obat Xanthosoma sagittifolium telah banyak dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat Kabupaten Belitung sebagai alternatif untuk pengobatan diabetes melitus. Meskipun demikian, informasi metabolit dari spesies tersebut belum tersedia. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis metabolit tak tertarget pada ekstrak umbi X. sagittifolium dari Kabupaten Belitung yang berpotensi sebagai pangan antidiabetes menggunakan pendekatan metabolomik berbasis LC-MS/MS. Sampel dimaserasi dan dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan metabolomik berbasis LC-MS/MS. Identifikasi dan analisis data menggunakan perangkat lunak MZmine dan R Studio. Sebanyak 195 senyawa teridentifikasi dari golongan alkaloid, asam amino, asam karboksilat, fenolik, terpenoid, vitamin, dan golongan lain dalam jumlah kecil. Setidaknya 37 dari 68 senyawa yang teridentifikasi dalam sampel menunjukkan aktivitas antihiperglikemik serta berperan dalam modulasi metabolisme glukosa dan insulin. Hasil ini menguatkan potensi farmakologis X. sagittifolium sebagai pangan antidiabetes dan memberikan dasar molekuler untuk penelitian lebih lanjut.
       
      Xanthosoma sagittifolium is a medicinal plant widely used by the people of Belitung Regency as an alternative treatment for diabetes mellitus. However, there is currently no available information on the metabolite profile of this species. This study aimed to analyze the untargeted metabolites in X. sagittifolium tuber extracts from Belitung Regency with potential antidiabetic activity using a metabolomics approach based on LC-MS/MS. The samples were macerated and analyzed through LC-MS/MS-based metabolomics. Compound identification and data analysis were carried out using MZmine and R Studio software. A total of 195 metabolites were identified, including alkaloids, amino acids, carboxylic acids, phenolics, terpenoids, vitamins, and other groups in small numbers. At least 37 out of 68 detected compounds were found to exhibit antihyperglycemic activity and play a role in modulating glucose and insulin metabolism. These findings reinforce the pharmacological potential of X. sagittifolium as an antidiabetic functional food and provide a molecular basis for future research.
