      Abstract

UNP as a PTN-BH can manage business units autonomously. The UNP Agroindustry Department has started a business unit, but it is still small scale, not yet optimal in management and operational processes, and does not yet have a development strategy plan to be reviewed as a university business unit. This study aims to analyze internal and external factors, and formulate alternative business unit development strategies. The analysis method used is strategy formulation using the IFE-EFE Matrix, IE Matrix, SWOT Matrix, and QSPM. The results of the analysis show that the business unit has nine strength factors, nine weaknesses, eleven opportunities, and six threats. In the IE Matrix, the business unit is in the hold and maintain position where the strategic focus is market penetration and product development. Ten alternative strategies were formulated using the SWOT Matrix. The priority strategies based on QSPM are to partner with distributors to expand market reach, create social media accounts to promote and provide product price offers, and create an R&D division to conduct research that focuses on business unit product development and conduct research for technology use.
