      Abstract

The political participation of younger generations (Y, Z, and Alpha) is crucial in the digital era, yet their patterns present challenges such as a shift from conventional participation to digital activism. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing political participation across these three generations and to formulate strategic recommendations for its enhancement. This study was conducted in January until July 2025. Using a quantitative approach with a survey of 328 respondents, the data was analyzed using SEM-PLS and Multigroup Analysis (MGA). The results show that theory of planned behavior significantly and positively influence political participation. MGA reveals that the strength of these drivers differs across generations. Digital native status was found to mediate these relationships, but it has a significant direct influence on Gen Y and Z. Strategies to increase political participation must be generationally segmented, focusing on strengthening the most relevant psychological drivers for each group, rather than applying a uniform digital approach.
