dc.description.abstractBean common mosaic virus (BCMV) merupakan salah satu penyakit penting pada kacang panjang. Virus ini tular benih dan serangga vektor kutudaun. Upaya pengelolaan menggunakan cara kultur teknis, bahan nabati dan biologi telah dikaji. Penelitian bertujuan menguji keefektifan nanopartikel perak (Ag-NP) dalam menekan infeksi BCMV. Ag-NP dibuat dengan teknik green synthesis menggunakan ekstrak daun kelor sebagai reduktor. Ag-NP diuji pada konsentrasi 50 ppm sampai 100 ppm dengan kontrol sehat, kontrol sehat disemprot Ag-NP pada konsentrasi 100 ppm, dan kontrol sakit sebagai pembanding. Aplikasi Ag-NP dilakukan pada 24 jam setelah penularan BCMV dan parameter penyakit. Penyemprotan Ag-NP pada konsentrasi 50 ppm sampai 70 ppm dapat memperpanjang waktu inkubasi, menurunkan, dan titer virus dibandingkan kontrol sakit. Keefektifan Ag-NP dalam menekan keparahan penyakit dan titer virus berturut-turut berkisar 54,60% hingga 75,88% dan 62,62% hingga 66,33%. Ag-NP pada konsentrasi 50 ppm sampai 70 ppm menunjukkan peningkatan pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun secara nyata dibandingkan pada konsentrasi 80 ppm sampai 100 ppm dan kontrol sakit. Perlakuan Ag-NP pada konsentrasi 50 ppm sampai 60 ppm merupakan perlakuan terbaik dalam menghambat infeksi BCMV dan meningkatkan parameter agronomis.
dc.description.abstractBean common mosaic virus (BCMV) is one of the important diseases in long beans. This virus is transmitted by seeds and insect vectors aphids. Management efforts of BCMV have been studied by using technical culture, plant extracts and biological agents. The study aimed to test the effectiveness of silver nanoparticles (Ag-NP) in suppressing BCMV infection. Ag-NP was made by green synthesis method using moringa leaf extract as a reducing agent. The effectiveness Ag-NP was tested at concentrations of 50 ppm to 100 ppm with a comparison of healthy controls, healthy controls sprayed with Ag-NP at a concentration of 100 ppm, and infected controls. Ag-NP application was carried out 24 hours post BCMV inoculation. The disease assessment and agronomic parameters were measured. Foliar spraying Ag-NP at a concentration of 50 ppm to 70 ppm able to prologed the incubation period, reduce the disease intensity, and virus titer in compared to untreated controls. The effectiveness of Ag-NP in suppressing disease severity and virus titer ranged from 54,60% to 75,88% and 62,62% to 66,33%. Ag-NP at concentrations of 50 ppm to 70 ppm showed increased plant height and leaf number significantly in compared to Ag-NP treatment at concentrations of 80 ppm to 100 ppm, and controls. The best treatment that could inhibit BCMV infection and improve agronomic parameters was 50 ppm and 60 ppm.
