      Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the provision of supplementation fermented pineapple juice and probiotic in broilers and its effects on chicken performance, such as feed consumption, body weight gain, feed conversion ratio, mortality and income over feed and chick cost (IOFCC). Broiler used were aged 4 to 28 days. This study used a quantitative descriptive method with three treatments, namely P0 (2 L drinking water without supplementation (control), P1 (2 L drinking water + 10 mL probiotic supplementation and fermented pineapple juice), and P2 (2 L drinking water + 20 mL probiotic supplementation and fermented pineapple juice). The results showed that between the control treatment and the addition of fermented pineapple juice and probiotic tended to be similar in terms of feed consumption, body weight, weight gain, feed conversion ratio, and mortality ratio. The highest IOFCC value was in treatments P0 (Rp 2.177/head), P1 (Rp 2.050/head), and P2 (Rp 1.997/head). The costs of supplementation are not offset by the increase in chicken performance which can increase income.
