dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan jumlah persediaan tanaman hias pakis kulit pada PT Florex Farmindo yang ditujukan untuk kegiatan ekspor. Permasalahan utama dalam pengelolaan persediaan di perusahaan adalah terjadinya overstock pada ukuran S (180.570 stem) dan out of stock pada ukuran M (138.240 stem), ukuran L (227.220 stem), ukuran XL (38.260 stem), dan ukuran XXL (15.700 stem) sepanjang 2024 akibat ketidaksesuaian antara penawaran perusahaan dengan penjualan ekspor. Jawaban atas permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) sebagai pendekatan dalam menghitung jumlah persediaan optimal. Perhitungan total terhadap biaya persediaan (Total Inventory Cost) serta penyusunan skema pemanenan berdasarkan frekuensi dan jumlah panen per periode. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode EOQ mampu memberikan rekomendasi jumlah pemanenan yang efisien. Penggunaan alat bantu Microsoft Excel dengan perhitungan otomatis akan membantu perusahaan untuk menerapkan perencanaan persediaan yang lebih akurat dan terstruktur guna mendukung kelancaran aktivitas ekspor.
dc.description.abstractThis study aims to optimize the inventory levels of leatherleaf fern ornamental plants at PT Florex Farmindo for export activities. The main issue in the company's inventory management is the occurrence of overstock for size S (180.570 stems) and stockouts for sizes M (138.240 stems), L (227.220 stems), XL (38.260 stems), and XXL (15.700 stems) throughout 2024 due to a mismatch between the company's supply and export sales. To address this problem, the study applies the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method as an approach to calculate the optimal inventory level. The study also includes the calculation of Total Inventory Cost (TIC) and the development of a harvesting schedule based on the frequency and quantity per period. The results show that the EOQ method is able to provide efficient recommendations for harvesting quantities. The use of Microsoft Excel with automated calculations assists the company in implementing more accurate and structured inventory planning to support smooth export operations.
