      Abstract

The high cost of feed in fish farming is a major obstacle for small business owners, so maggots are considered as an alternative, affordable and sustainable independent feed. This study aims to compare the feasibility of maggot, fish, and integrated maggot and catfish farming in the Pintu Air from non-financial and financial aspects, and identify the maximum change limit. The financial assessment was conducted through NPV, IRR, Net B/C, and DPP, as well as switching value analysis. From a non-financial perspective, all aspects support business feasibility, but market and management aspects need improvement. From a financial perspective, all scenarios are feasible because they all meet the investment criteria. Overall, integrated cultivation is the most feasible because it has the best investment criteria value. The results of the switching value analysis show that the maggot scenario is more sensitive to wage increases than the other two scenarios. The catfish scenario is more sensitive to decreases in production volume than the other two scenarios. Switching value analysis results show that the integration scenario is not significantly affected by these two indicators.
