| dc.description.abstract | Terumbu karang merupakan ekosistem dengan keanekaragaman hayati yang tinggi serta memiliki manfaat yang besar bagi berbagai biota laut seperti ikan terumbu karang dan manfaat bagi manusia. Ekosistem terumbu karang menghadapi berbagai ancaman yang disebabkan oleh faktor alam maupun aktivitas manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kondisi komunitas bentik dan komunitas ikan terumbu, serta hubungan antara keduanya di perairan Buru Selatan, Provinsi Maluku. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 22 sampai dengan 30 September 2024 di perairan Buru Selatan, Provinsi Maluku. Metode pengamatan menggunakan Underwater Photo Transect dan Underwater Visual Census. Kondisi terumbu karang termasuk ke dalam kategori sedang. Perairan Kabupaten Buru Selatan didominasi oleh karang keras dan abiotik. Terdapat 5,167 individu ikan terumbu yang termasuk ke dalam 29 famili dengan famili terbesar adalah Famili Caesionidae. Komunitas ikan terumbu di perairan Kabupaten Buru Selatan memiliki kelimpahan yang tinggi dan beragam dengan kelompok planktivore sebagai kelompok trofik terbesar. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Coral reefs are one of the ecosystems with high biodiversity and provide significant benefits to various marine organisms, such as reef fish and to humans. However, coral reef ecosystems face numerous threats caused by both natural factors and human activities. This research aims to analyze the condition of benthic communities and reef fish communities, as well as the relationship between the two in the waters of South Buru, Maluku Province. The study was conducted from September 22 to 30 2024 on the waters of South Buru, Maluku Province. The observation method uses Underwater Photo Transect and Underwater Visual Census. The condition of the coral reefs falls into the moderate category. The waters of South Buru Regency are dominated by hard corals and abiotic components. A total of 5,167 individual reef fish were recorded, belonging to 29 families, with the largest being the Caesionidae family. The reef fish community in the waters of South Buru Regency is characterized by high abundance and diversity, with planktivores being the dominant trophic group. | |
