      Efisiensi Biaya Produksi Ikan Kelah melalui Pakan Alami Larva BSF pada Far East Planet, Malaysia

      Abstract
      Produksi ikan kelah di Malaysia menghadapi kendala biaya pakan komersial yang tinggi, sehingga memengaruhi separuh total biaya produksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi efektivitas biologis dan efisiensi finansial penggunaan pakan maggot Black Soldier Fly (BSF) sebagai alternatif pengganti Pelet X dalam budidaya ikan kelah (Tor tambroides) di Far East Planet, Malaysia. Penelitian dilakukan selama delapan minggu menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan tiga perlakuan: Pelet X, Maggot BSF, dan kombinasi keduanya. Hasil menunjukan perlakuan kombinasi keduanya menghasilkan nilai tengah antara seluruh perlakuan yaitu bobot akhir 3,34, FCR 2,9, efisiensi pemanfaatan pakan 33%, dan survival rate 99%. Sedangkan, perlakuan maggot BSF menghasilkan pertumbuhan terbaik dengan bobot akhir 5,73 g, FCR 1, efisiensi pemanfaatan pakan 69%, dan survival rate 100%. Secara finansial, penggunaan maggot BSF menghasilkan nilai NPV Rp4.516.757.891, Gross B/C 1,23, Net B/C 2,09, IRR 18,65%, dan payback period 5,82 tahun. Temuan ini menunjukan bahwa maggot BSF layak digunakan sebagai pakan alternatif ikan kelah yang efisien dan berkelanjutan.
       
      Production of mahseer in Malaysia faces challenges due to the high cost of commercial feed, which accounts for half of the total production cost. This study aims to evaluate the biological effectiveness and financial efficiency of using Black Soldier Fly (BSF) maggot feed as an alternative to Pelet X in the aquaculture of kelah fish (Tor tambroides) at Far East Planet, Malaysia. The research was conducted over eight weeks using an experimental method with three treatments: Pelet X, BSF maggot, and a combination of both. The results showed that the combined treatment yielded intermediate values among all treatments, with a final weight of 3.34 g, FCR of 2.9, feed utilization efficiency of 33%, and a survival rate of 99%. Meanwhile, the BSF maggot treatment produced the best growth, with a final weight of 5.73 g, FCR of 1, feed utilization efficiency of 69%, and a survival rate of 100%. Financially, the use of BSF maggot resulted in an NPV of IDR 4,516,757,891, a Gross B/C of 1.23, a Net B/C of 2.09, an IRR of 18.65%, and a payback period of 5.82 years. These findings indicate that BSF maggot is a viable, efficient, and sustainable alternative feed for mahseer.
