      Abstract

Climate change poses significant global and national threats. The impacts of this climate change make Indonesia's forest ecosystems highly vulnerable. This research aims to identify the symptoms of climate change and the level of vulnerability, as well as to identify and determine priority adaptation strategies based on forest ecosystems. The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) was used to select priority strategies based on the criteria of exposure, sensitivity, and adaptive capacity. This study focused on the Cijulang Asri Forest Farmers Group (KTH) in Kopo Village, a community highly dependent on forest resources and directly experiencing the impacts of climate change. Climate change symptoms were observed through highly variable rainfall patterns, increasing temperatures from 2011 to 2024, and increased frequency of hydrometeorological disasters, especially landslides and strong winds. The AHP analysis revealed adaptive capacity as the criterion with the highest weight (0.680). Meanwhile, strengthening community adaptive capacity was selected as the priority strategy (0.332), followed by agroforestry development (0.266), forest conservation and rehabilitation (0.239), and environmentally friendly harvesting (0.160).
