      Abstract
      Upaya baru yang dilakukan BPOM dalam meningkatkan sistem pengawasan di sarana peredaran seperti pada ritel modern, distributor dan importir dilakukan melalui sistem manajemen keamanan pangan olahan (SMKPO) di sarana peredaran. SMKPO merupakan sistem yang didasarkan pada pengawasan berbasis risiko secara mandiri oleh pelaku usaha di sarana peredaran dan penerapannya akan diwajibkan bagi pelaku usaha tersebut. Sebagai importir, PT. XYZ memiliki kewajiban untuk memenuhi persyaratan pemenuhan sistem SMKPO di perusahaannya. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendampingi PT. XYZ dalam mengimplementasikan sistem SMKPO serta mendapatkan sertifikat pemenuhan standar SMKPO. Proses dilakukan secara bertahap mulai dari tahapan pengembangan sistem, implementasi sistem, audit internal sampai sertifikasi SMKPO. Berdasarkan implementasi yang telah dilakukan, PT. XYZ berhasil mendapatkan sertifikat pemenuhan standar SMKPO dan menerapkan sistem SMKPO di lingkup perusahaannya.
       
      The new efforts has made by BPOM to enhance the food safety supervision system in distribution facilities such as modern retail, distributors and importers through the implementation of the food safety management system (SMKPO). SMKPO is a system based on risk-based self monitoring conducted by business operators in distribution facilities, and the implementation will be mandatory for such businesses. As an importer, PT. XYZ is required to comply with the SMKPO standards within its operation. Therefore, this study aims to assist PT. XYZ in implementing the SMKPO system and obtaining the certification of compliance with SMKPO standards. The process is carried out in stages, including system development, system implementation, internal audit and SMKPO certification. Based on the implementation carried out, PT. XYZ successfully obtained the SMKPO certification and applied the SMKPO system within its operations.
