      Abstract

Butterflies in some parts of Indonesia still face significant challenges due to limited data and accurate information on their distribution and diversity. Butterflies, as bioindicators of ecosystem quality, have great potential to be used as educational and conservation tourism objects. The beauty and diversity of colors make butterflies have a high aesthetic value that has the potential to become the main attraction in butterfly ecotourism planning. This research was conducted using the transect path and cruising method. Data types include data on ecotourism resources and data on the level of student interest in butterflies. Data analysis using descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods. The research index value shows a high level of diversity, an even distribution of species with a stable community, and the absence of dominating species. The most common butterfly species found was Acraea terpsicore from the Nymphalidae family, while the habitat with the highest level of diversity was found in the forest area. The output produced is a book of butterfly species introduction and butterfly ecotourism program design.
