      Abstract
MUHAMMAD ZINEDINE ZIDANE. Comparison of Lighting Source Use on the Productivity of Green Fodder Growth of Corn and Sorghum. Supervised by TERA FIT RAYANI. Ruminant farmers in Indonesia face difficulties in obtaining high-quality and sustainable forage due to limited land availability, soil contamination, and unpredictable weather. This situation negatively impacts farmers’ profits. One solution applied is Hydroponic Green Fodder (HGF) technology. This study aims to optimize the productivity of green fodder growth by comparing light intensity and selecting corn and sorghum seed types. The observed parameters include microclimate, plant growth, and productivity. The experiment was conducted using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) factorial 2x3 with four replications. The study involved two factors: Factor A was the type of lighting (A1: natural light; A2: LED grow light), and Factor B was the type of seed (B1: corn; B2: sorghum). Data analysis was performed using SPSS 23.0 with ANOVA and T-Test methods. The results showed that variations in light sources did not have a significant effect on the growth and productivity of green fodder from either corn or sorghum. Keywords: Light intensity, Natural light, LED light, Green fodder, Corn, Sorghum.

MUHAMMAD ZINEDINE ZIDANE.
