      Abstract

Post-harvest pruning is a crucial practice for enhancing the productivity and sustainability of coffee plants, with the potential to increase yields by up to 30% in the following season. This study evaluates the effectiveness of pruning based on gender, focusing on time efficiency and the quantity of collection between male and female workers. A total of 14 workers (7 males and 7 females) participated, with work duration recorded using a stopwatch. The results indicate that female workers tended to work faster, while male workers collected a higher quantity but required more time. Statistical analysis revealed that gender did not significantly affect work duration but did influence the amount collected. Consistent collection was also found to significantly improve overall coffee productivity.
