      Abstract

One of the wastes produced by I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali International Airport is HVS paper waste. The amount of HVS paper waste from airport activities produced reaches ±3000 kg per month. The monitoring results in June 2024 showed an increase in COD concentration from 89.0 mg/L in the previous month to 120.0 mg/L. The paper adsorbent that was made was first activated using NaOH. In this study, there were 3 contact times used, namely 90, 120, and 150 minutes. The results of the study showed that the adsorbent that had gone through the stirring process and COD meter value test obtained a value in accordance with the established formula, namely the Langmuir and Freundlich Isotherms.
