Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul Penerapan Yellow Trap untuk Meningkatkan Produksi dan Pendapatan Bibit Cabai Rawit di Tanah Muda Jaya Sukabumi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan yellow trap dalam mengendalikan hama serta dampaknya terhadap peningkatan produksi dan pendapatan bibit cabai rawit. Metode yang digunakan meliputi analisis deskriptif, analisis finansial dengan pendekatan R/C ratio dan Benefit-Cost Ratio (BCR), serta uji statistik paired sample t-test untuk membandingkan kondisi sebelum dan sesudah penerapan teknologi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan yellow trap mampu menurunkan tingkat kegagalan panen dari 15% menjadi 5%. Penerapan ini juga meningkatkan laba bersih sebesar Rp6.925.956, dengan nilai R/C ratio meningkat dari 1,44 menjadi 1,53 dan nilai BCR mencapai 1,30. Hasil uji t menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,023 (p < 0,05), yang berarti terdapat perbedaan nyata antara sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Dengan demikian, penggunaan yellow trap terbukti efektif secara teknis dan ekonomis dalam mendukung keberhasilan pembibitan cabai rawit.

This study, entitled The Application of Yellow Traps to Increase Production and Income of Chili Seedlings in Tanah Muda Jaya, Sukabumi, aims to determine the effectiveness of yellow traps in pest control and their impact on increasing the production and income of chili seedlings. The methods used include descriptive analysis, financial analysis using the Revenue-Cost Ratio (R/C Ratio) and Benefit-Cost Ratio (BCR), as well as a paired sample t-test to compare the conditions before and after the technology was applied. The results showed that yellow trap application reduced the crop failure rate from 15% to 5%. Net profit increased by IDR 6,925,956, with the R/C ratio rising from 1.44 to 1.53 and the BCR value reaching 1.30. The t-test result showed a significance value of 0.023 (p < 0.05), indicating a statistically significant difference after the treatment. Therefore, the use of yellow traps is proven to be technically and economically effective in supporting the success of chili seedling cultivation.
