      Abstract
Pemanfaatan energi terbarukan menjadi fokus penting dalam mendukung target bauran energi nasional, salah satunya melalui konversi energi panas limbah biomassa menjadi listrik.

The utilization of renewable energy has become a key focus in supporting the national energy mix targets, one of which is through the conversion of biomass waste heat into electricity. Oil Palm Empty Fruit Bunches (EFB) represent a promising biomass waste that can be processed through pyrolysis, producing flue gas that can be utilized as a heat source for an Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) system. This study aims to develop a simulation application of the ORC based on Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), capable of evaluating thermal performance and estimating CO2 emissions. The application was verified using the black-box method and validated against five references using the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) method, showing an error rate below 20%. The simulation results indicate that increasing heat input from EFB affects the evaporator outlet temperature, net work output, and system efficiency. Both condensation and evaporation temperatures also influence thermal efficiency. A thermal input of 4.44 kW enables nine working fluids to reach a superheated vapor condition. The fluids with the highest efficiencies are R22, propane, and isobutane. Considering the emissions produced, propane and isobutane are the preferred alternatives for ORC system.
