| dc.description.abstract | Degradasi ekosistem mangrove di pesisir Muara Gembong, Kabupaten Bekasi, Jawa
Barat, mendorong perlunya pendekatan budidaya berkelanjutan melalui sistem wanamina.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi dan memastikan potensi kepiting bakau Scylla
paramamosain sebagai jenis kepiting bakau potensial yang dipelihara pada sistem
wanamina di pesisir Muara Gembong, Kabupaten Bekasi, berdasarkan aspek molekular,
biologi (pola pertumbuhan dan reproduksi), dan ekonomi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan
pada Agustus–Desember 2024 di empat stasiun sampling. Analisis meliputi kualitas air,
morfologi, biometrik, rasio RNA/DNA, fekunditas, dan identifikasi molekular
menggunakan gen COI. Hasil menunjukkan kondisi perairan mendukung kelangsungan
hidup kepiting bakau. Analisis biometrik dan molekular mengonfirmasi spesies S.
paramamosain dengan kemiripan genetik >99%. Nilai keragaman haplotype tinggi (Hd =
0,94) menandakan stabilitas populasi. Rasio RNA/DNA lebih tinggi pada jantan dibanding
betina menunjukkan potensi pertumbuhan yang baik. Nilai fekunditas tertinggi mencapai
2,47 juta butir telur. Hasil produksi mencapai 65.790 kg/tahun dengan harga jual bervariasi
sesuai ukuran dan kondisi biologis. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa S. paramamosain
memiliki potensi tinggi sebagai biota utama wanamina berbasis konservasi dan ekonomi
masyarakat pesisir. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The degradation of mangrove ecosystems in Muara Gembong, Bekasi, necessitates
sustainable aquaculture approaches such as the silvofishery system. This study aimed to
evaluate and confirm the potential of the green mud crab Scylla paramamosain as a
potential mud crab species to be cultivated in silvofishery systems on the coast of Muara
Gembong, Bekasi Regency, based on molecular characteristics, biological (growth pattern
and reproductive), and economic aspects. Data were collected from August to December
2024 across four sampling stations. Analyses included water quality, morphology,
biometrics, RNA/DNA ratio, fecundity, and molecular identification using the COI gene.
Results showed that water parameters supported crab survival. Biometric and molecular
analyses confirmed the species identity with >99% genetic similarity. High haplotype
diversity (Hd = 0.94) indicates population stability. Higher RNA/DNA ratios in males
suggest better growth potential. Maximum fecundity reached 2.47 million eggs. Production
peaked at 65,790 kg/year with prices varying by size and biological condition. These
findings indicate that S. paramamosain holds strong potential as a key species in
conservation-based and economically beneficial sylvofishery systems. | |
