      Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Value Added Tax (VAT) disputes related to the Tax Base and Output VAT on sales transactions in Indonesia, as well as to provide recommendations that companies can apply to avoid similar cases. The research employs a qualitative approach by analyzing ongoing cases. The research methodology used is a case study of three relevant tax court decisions. The findings of the study reveal that issues arose that led to disputes between companies and the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) regarding the determination of DPP and Output VAT. These disputes resulted in tax adjustments imposed by DJP on sales transactions, which ultimately harmed the companies involved. This study provides recommendations for companies to manage VAT and DPP calculations to prevent similar issues in the future.
