      Abstract

Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) is a disease in cats caused by the deadly feline coronavirus (FCoV) infectious agent. This study aims to determine the appropriate handling of dry type FIP cases with neurological manifestations in a domestic cat named Kim at Paws Claws Pet Clinic Cibubur. Diagnosis is made through anamnesis, clinical examination, rapid test, and blood hematology. The results of the rapid test showed the cat was FIP positive, and the hematology examination showed leukocytosis and neutrophilia. Supportive therapy provided includes intravenous fluids, antibiotics, anticonvulsants, multivitamins, and antiviral GS-441524. After 14 days of treatment, the cats showed significant improvements, such as improved nerve reflexes and physical activity. This case study demonstrates the importance of appropriate diagnosis and supportive therapy based on clinical symptoms as well as the use of GS-441524 in managing dry FIP with neurological symptoms.
