      Abstract

Mangroves play an important role in maintaining the balance of coastal ecosystems, but their health continues to decline due to degradation, anthropogenic activities, and climate change. This study aims to analyze the mangrove health research literature in Indonesia, popular methods and species, themes and trends in mangrove health research, and the spatial distribution of mangrove health in Indonesia. The total literature obtained was 111 with popular methods used, namely standardized criteria for mangrove damage and remote sensing. The most studied species were Rhizophora mucronata, Rhizophora apiculata, and Sonneratia alba. The studies were spread across 29 provinces, while 9 provinces have not detected any related studies. The keywords “mangrove”, "NDVI", “mangrove forest”, and “mangrove health index” are keywords that describe mangrove health research topics. The distribution of mangrove health levels in Indonesia shows moderate to good conditions.
