      Abstract

Skin tumors in cats are one of the health problems that require surgery as the main therapy. Postoperative wound care plays an important role in accelerating the healing process and preventing complications such as infection. Wound healing is a complex process as various bio-cellular, bio-chemical activities occur continuously. This study aims to observe the wound healing process using 0.9% NaCl solution after skin tumor surgery in a 14-year-old cat at Citrapet and Vet. The methods used in this study include clinical observation of the wound healing process, changes in wound condition, and postoperative animal responses. The results showed that the use of 0.9% NaCl solution in wound care was able to maintain wound moisture, reduce the risk of infection, and make the wound close again for 25 days. Supportive therapy such as antibiotics also contributed to the success of the treatment.
