      Abstract

Helminth infections reduce dairy cattle productivity by impairing health and milk production. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of albendazole on the prevalence of helminthiasis in Friesian Holstein cows at UPTD BPTSP-HPT Cikole Lembang. Fecal samples from 20 cows in two barns were examined using flotation and McMaster methods. Results showed a 5% prevalence with only Strongylid detected and no mixed infections. These findings suggest albendazole was effective in reducing helminth infections. Success was supported by good barn sanitation and dried elephant grass feeding. However, one infection case highlights the need for routine evaluation of treatment efficacy and farm management.
