      Abstract

Cats with FIV have a tendency to develop proteinuria which can be indicated as one of the symptoms of chronic kidney disease. Kidney damage is caused by the direct effects of the virus, immune disorders, inflammation and environmental factors. The aim of this study was to describe the treatment measures taken in cats with FIV with renal complications. This study used one FIV-infected cat that was subjected to physical examination, hematology examination, blood chemistry, rapid test. Analysis was carried out in a descriptive way presented in tabular form, analyzed, and compared with literature studies. Supportive therapy provided includes administration of doxycyline antibiotics, azodyl® as a kidney supplement, NaCl fluid therapy, hemapo® as anemia therapy, and channa® as an albumin supplement. The treatment carried out can improve the condition of Januar's cat with improvements in hematology & blood chemistry parameters on MON, NEU, RBC, HGB, HCT AMY, BUN, CRE, TP, GLOB values.
