The application of biosecurity and biosafety in animal laboratories is something that needs to be done and considered to produce a strategy in managing and analyzing risks or threats to human health, animals, and risks to the environment. This study aims to explain the application of biosecurity and biosafety and a comparison of the effectiveness of two insecticides against disease vectors in animal laboratories. The parameters observed were the mortality of fly pests. This observation used two insecticides, the first material using Dalmat 50 EC and the second material using Smash 100 EC. The results of observations and calculations from each of the two insecticides gave different numbers of deaths, with the results of 80% deaths using the active ingredient Cypermethrin and 60% deaths using the active ingredient deltamethrin 5%. Based on the results of observations, insecticides containing the active ingredient 10% cypermethrin showed higher effectiveness with the percentage of insect deaths reaching 80% at the highest concentration.
