      Pengaruh Digital Cashless Payments terhadap Pertumbuhan Ekonomi di Negara Berkembang

      Abstract
      Pertumbuhan ekonomi negara berkembang masih menghadapi tantangan besar karena rata-rata pertumbuhannya di bawah potensi maksimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh digital cashless payments terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di negara berkembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan data panel yang terdiri dari 5 negara-negara berkembang, yaitu Argentina, Brazil, India, Indonesia, dan Turki pada periode tahunan 2013-2022 dengan pendekatan Fixed Effect Model (FEM). Variabel yang digunakan mencakup pertumbuhan nilai transaksi kartu kredit, kartu debit, dan e-money. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kartu kredit dan e-money berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi, sementara kartu debit tidak signifikan. Pentingnya peningkatan kualitas literasi digital, inklusi keuangan, dan infrastruktur digital sebagai prasyarat agar digitalisasi sistem pembayaran benar-benar mampu mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi secara optimal di negara berkembang.
       
      The economic growth of developing countries still faces major challenges because the average growth is below the maximum potential. This study aims to analyze the effect of digital cashless payments on economic growth in developing countries. This study uses panel data consisting of 5 developing countries, namely Argentina, Brazil, India, Indonesia, and Turkey in the annual period 2013–2022 with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) approach. The variables used include the growth in the value of credit card transactions, debit cards, and e-money. The results of the study show that credit cards and e-money have a positive and significant effect on economic growth, while debit cards are not significant. The importance of improving the quality of digital literacy, financial inclusion, and digital infrastructure as prerequisites for the digitalization of payment systems to be able to truly drive optimal economic growth in developing countries.
