      Abstract

The results of this study show that the financial inclusion index tends to increase over time. Women’s political empowerment in the form of civil liberties and political participation have a positive impact on financial inclusion in developing countries. GDP per capita, education, institutional quality, trade openness, and percentage of internet user also have a positive impact, while foreign direct investment net inflows has a negative impact. These findings highlight the importance of women’s protection policies and gender quota policies in political representation.
