      Identifikasi dan Uji Resistansi Enterobacteriaceae pada Ball Python (Python regius) Terhadap Antibiotik

      Abstract
      Ball python (Python regius) merupakan hewan peliharaan eksotis yang terus meningkat popularitasnya. Dalam saluran pencernaan ball python terdapat berbagai mikroorganisme seperti famili Enterobacteriaceae. Anggota famili ini dapat bersifat patogenik oportunistik yang dapat menyebar melalui rute fekal-oral sehingga penting untuk diidentifikasi dan diketahui sifat resistansi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengisolasi dan mengidentifikasi bakteri famili Enterobacteriaceae dari feses ball python, kemudian menguji resistansi antibiotik pada isolat Escherichia coli dan Klebsiella oxytoca yang berhasil diperoleh. Identifikasi bakteri dilakukan dengan karakterisasi koloni, pewarnaan Gram, dan menguji sifat biokimia bakteri. Uji resistansi antibiotik dilakukan menggunakan metode difusi cakram Kirby-Bauer dengan tujuh antibiotik. Teridentifikasi total delapan isolat, dengan tiga isolat E. coli dan lima isolat K. oxytoca. Seluruh isolat memenuhi kriteria multidrug-resistant (MDR), yaitu resistan terhadap =3 kelas antibiotik yang berbeda. Seluruh isolat resistan terhadap antibiotik gentamisin dan eritromisin, dengan sebagian besar isolat juga resistan terhadap ampisilin.
       
      Ball pythons (Python regius) are exotic pets whose popularity continues to rise. The digestive tract of ball pythons harbors various microorganisms, including members of the Enterobacteriaceae family. Members of this family can act as opportunistic pathogens that may be transmitted via the fecal-oral route, making their identification and resistance important. This study aimed to identify Enterobacteriaceae bacteria in the feces of ball pythons then test antibiotic resistance in the isolates of Escherichia coli and Klebsiella oxytoca that were successfully obtained. Bacterial identification was performed through colony characterization, Gram staining, and biochemical testing. Antibiotic resistance test was conducted using the Kirby-Bauer disc diffusion method with seven antibiotics. A total of eight isolates were identified, with three E. coli isolates and five K. oxytoca isolates. All isolates showed multidrug-resistant (MDR), namely resistance to =3 different antibiotic classes. All isolates were resistant to the antibiotics gentamicin and erythromycin, and most were resistant to ampicillin.
