      Biodiversitas Serangga Penyerbuk dan Keefektifan Penambahan Apis mellifera dan Tetragonula laeviceps dalam Penyerbukan Buah Beri

      Abstract
      Penyerbukan yang dibantu oleh serangga seperti lebah berperan penting dalam membantu peningkatan kualitas dan kuantitas produksi buah beri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis biodiversitas serangga penyerbuk, mengamati aktivitas harian lebah serta menganalisis keefektifan serangga penyerbuk (Apis mellifera dan Tetragonula laeviceps). Pengamatan terhadap biodiversitas serangga penyerbuk dilakukan dengan metode scan sampling, sedangkan aktivitas kunjungan lebah diamati menggunakan focal sampling. Selain itu, aktivitas terbang diamati dengan menghitung jumlah lebah yang keluar dan masuk sarang. Pada pengujian keefektifan serangga penyerbuk, digunakan tiga perlakuan: terbuka, tertutup dan manual. Sementara itu, perkembangan koloni diamati berdasarkan jumlah sisiran pada A. mellifera dan berat koloni pada T. laeviceps. Indeks keanekaragaman serangga penyerbuk tergolong rendah hingga sedang (H = 3), hal ini disebabkan adanya dominasi serangga penyerbuk tertentu. Puncak aktivitas terbang pada kedua lebah yang telah diintroduksi terjadi pukul 11.00–12.00. Lebah A. mellifera mengunjungi lebih banyak bunga (28 strawberry; 26 raspberry; 35 blackberry) dibanding T. laeviceps (6 raspberry; 7 blackberry). Penyerbukan secara terbuka mampu meningkatkan panjang, diameter dan berat buah dibandingkan penyerbukan tertutup, masing-masing sebesar 20%, 6% dan 38% pada pengujian buah strawberry, sedangkan pada pengujian buah raspberry masing-masing sebesar 24%, 18% dan 52%. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya pengelolaan serangga penyerbuk untuk produksi beri.
       
      Insect-assisted pollination, particularly by bees, plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality and quantity of berry fruit production. This study aim to analyze the biodiversity of pollinating insects, observe the daily foraging activity of bees and evaluate the pollination effectiveness of Apis mellifera and Tetragonula laeviceps. Pollinator biodiversity was assessed using the scan sampling method, while bee visitation activity was recorded through focal sampling. Flight activity was observed by counting bees entering and exiting the hive. Pollination effectiveness was tested using three treatments: open, closed and manual pollination. Colony development was measured by comb count for A. mellifera and colony weight for T. laeviceps. Pollinator diversity index ranged from low to moderate (H = 3), likely due to dominance by certain pollinator species. Peak foraging activity for both introduced bee species occurred at 11:00–12:00. A. mellifera visited more flowers (28 strawberry; 26 raspberry; 35 blackberry) than T. laeviceps (6 raspberry; 7 blackberry). Open pollination improved fruit length, diameter and weight by 20%, 6% and 38% in strawberries, and by 24%, 18% and 52% in raspberries, compared to closed pollination. These findings highlight the importance of pollinator management in berry production.
